Roger Arnold of of Llanthony is descended from Ynir, King of Gwentland (Wales) c.1150 who is descended from Saint Cadwaladr of Gwynedd, King of the Britons c. 634. Welsh tradition holds that Cadwaladr was the last Welsh king to wear the crown of Britain.
