After he moved to Nebraksa, George was a prominent physician and a leading citizen.

George prepared a handwritten Tilden Genealogy circa 1900. This document traces the Tilden Genealogy all the way back to Sir Richard Tylden who "served as seneschal (steward/major domo) to Hugo de Lacey, Constable of Chester during the reign of King Henry II. He afterwards assumed The Cross and accompanied Coeur de Lion to the Holy Land in 1191 and fought under him at the Battle of Askalon against the Sultain, Saladin."
