The Cleveland Plain Dealer; April 17, 1997 Thursday; FINAL; METRO; Pg. 9B Charles H. Klopf was president of the Arrow Publicity Co. in Cleveland. He was the third generation to own and operate the specialty advertising business. The company has served the tire industry since the early 1920s and under Mr. Klopf's direction it expanded to include promotional programs for a number of local and national organizations. Mr. Klopf, 56, died Sunday at Cleveland Clinic Hospital of a heart attack. He was born and raised in Wisconsin and was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1963 and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1966. After law school, he served two years as a Finance Corps officer in the office of the director of management at the Pentagon. He loved music. He sang baritone with the Singers Club of Cleveland for 27 years and had served as its president. He was president of Albert Rees Davis Foundation, the club's endowment fund. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served in a number of capacities, including as chairman of the congregation. He taught a weekly Sunday school class. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Ann; daughter, Margaret Cannon Klopf of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, John Charles of Oakland, Calif.; and his mother, Lavern Klopf of Moreland Hills. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 18000 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights 44122. Brown-Forward Funeral Home in Shaker Heights is handling arrangements.
